The Truth! ;D

So maybe my previous posts have been a little deceiving. My apartment is more often than not a total wreck, however, i am not to blame i am rarely there. I just felt a little guilty when looking at the early days of my blog, so i had to set it right. Yesterday I did three loads of dishes and with in four hours I had two more. But I love my apartment messy quirks and all.

Happy Halloween!

Thomas S. Monson
Joseph Smith Jr.
The Savior
These were in the Taylor Building, I thought they were amazing!!!
Amber and Me, we were both cowgirls.
(L to R) Me, Emily, and Susan

I had so much fun halloween night. I got to go to the Halloween Concert with Sara, Emily, and Megan! The theme was Pirates of the Caribbean and Pirates of Penzance. The Orchestra played songs from Pirates of the Caribbean and the Men's Choir sang excerpts from Pirates of Penzance. It was very impressive. After the concert we went back to 107 for games and candy. It was perfect.

Only in Rexburg

A couple of weeks ago I got to go to the visitor's center in Idaho Falls and watch the Joseph Smith movie with some of my friends, it was a lot of fun. As we are driving (Emily was driving) we see red and blue lights flashing behind us. Emily pulls over so that they could pass us; we knew we hadn't done anything wrong. To our surprise he pulled up right behind us came to the window and informed us that our headlight was out. I didn't know if I could be ticket for that so I threw on my southern accent and began apologizing. He asked if my dad was in the military (he saw the USAA insurance) I am pretty sure it only helped me, thanks Grandpa :) He asked what we had been doing that night. I told of our wonderfully peaceful evening and hoped he was mormon and think "wow what great kids, I'll let them go" sure enough he said "make sure to get one of your F.H.E. brothers to fix that for you" Only in Rexburg. . . .and maybe Provo

General Conference!

General Conference Weekend was a blast! Let's start from the beginning. Before we went off to college, Chris asked if I wanted to go to a couple of sessions of Conference. (Thanks Brother Dean) I thought "hm that'd be fun, sure" So we got two other girls that were going to Salt Lake and split the gas four ways, now all that was missing was . . . . my license!!! So Chris drove us all to Utah and back and I was co-pilot :) Catherine and Richard were so nice to let me stay with them. The past couple of times I stayed with them they have taught me to love telemundo. . . but we'll save that for another post. I got to see Erika, Danny and Kenny as well. Saturday night Erika came with me to drop off Chris and Kenny in Sandy so they could take the Tracks to the Conference Center for Priesthood Session. After Sunday Morning Session and Orange Rolls Chris and I headed to The Sunday Afternoon Session at the Conference Center! The session was awesome and the choir was unreal. I am so grateful to have had that opportunity!

My room!!!!!

Adios Hermana Norris

Andrew, Tiffany, Taylor and Hermana Norris

Mom, Dad and Christy

Our "little" family a.k.a. unmarried
This will be fun to compare with one 18 months from now!
Sooo. . . let me explain. Mom got a candid shot, and I'm not going to lie, I wasn't exactly happy about the situation. I think my face in this picture reiterates this though.

Yo y mi hermana

12 days after Mom dropped me off, Andrew, Tiffany, Taylor, and I got to go to Provo and take Christy to the MTC with Mom and Dad. I miss her a ton, but what I have heard from her has been very positive. So I'm glad she is where she is.

This is my roommate Amber, we share a room, she is great. We are very similar. ANNNND she loves cowboys and country music. . .can we say heaven sent?

These are two of my roommates. The first one is Megan, and the second one is Ashley. I love them to death. I haven't had a chance to get pictures of Lindsey and Shanna but I will.

This is my bathroom vanity, as I had mentioned I was a little homesick at first, and my roommates sensing this wrote be a bundle of encouraging post it notes some saying: Rachel. . . is tidy, a great listener, is super woman, is weird with us, is a macbook buddy, is beautiful, is sexy, loves family, is our family, has the greatest love sac (foof) ever, is so nice to look at, and talk to, Rachel we are so glad you are our roommate, has full beautiful lips, is a hot southern MAMA, is so willing to help others, is so smart, sings like an angel, is a great cook, is easy to talk to

College!!!!!

When Mom left, on September 6th I found that college is more than just going to school away from home, it is taking care of yourself and those you live with as well as groceries and meeting new people. . . this didn't sit well for the first little while. Through much prayer and growth I am happy to say that I love it and I am so blessed to be here. College is so much fun I have met such fun people and gotten in touch with long lost second cousins (Vanessa Bybee). Interestingly enough I do not spend all that much time with my roommates or even in my own apartment :) So later on you will see some posts of my home, and then separate posts of my apartment. Soooo here it goes!!

Before I go off to college let's catch up!

Scott saw me giving a back rub, and after giving me a look of complete confusion he very cautiously proceeded to scratch, pat, and rub my back. I thought it was funny and I guess Scott found it funny too.
The seniors wanted to take a beach trip and Cindy and Scott were our chaperones and fellow beach bums. Thanks you guys, and thanks to Cameron for letting them come!!
