Grace Kelly

I have recently become severely infatuated with the song "Grace Kelly" After the 3781 time of singing it at the top of my lungs I thought to myself "Who exactly is Grace Kelly?" So I did a little research. . . Grace Patricia Kelly was born November 12, 1929 and died September 14, 1982 she was an actress and married Rainier III, Prince of Monaco and became Her Serene Highness The Princess of Monaco anyways listen to the song on my playlist on the right side of the screen------->

New Blog Title

So I have had an epiphany. I keep getting this comment of "why haven't you updated your blog" or "if someone (accusatory glances at me) would update their blog" etc. Well I have now decided the reason I have issues updating is that i would prefer to talk to y'all about my life than have you read it. So I will now have a guilt free attitude towards blog posting. I will post when I want to and because I want to :) Hence the "No Worries"

Melissa the great!

This is an ode to my cousin Missy. I really miss her and don't know when I'll ever get to see her again. . . .ok that's a little dramatic. . . I just don't know when. Anyways here are a few things I found. ok well one thing. A video. In the video it is her talking in the background. I love you TaWanda

Six Flags!!!!!

On Saturday I went to Six Flags with a couple of friends and found my calling in life. I am quitting nursing school and I'm going to be a professional roller coaster tester. . . just kidding Dad :) But seriously we rode on the front of Goliath twice once in daylight and once at night. It was so fun, watch the video to get the authentic reaction of Yours Truly, Meredith, Amber, and Kyle. I have to give props to Meredith and Amber for their mad driving skills (although I think they were still running off of their Corner Bakery high) because Kyle, Alex, and I were out. . . ok well maybe just me and Kyle, but I think Alex got a couple of head bobs so we'll count that as sleep :) So anyways here is a shout out to Daniel, Leinani, Amy, Jen, Lina, Meredith, Amber, Kyle, and Alex. Thanks! It was so much fun!!">

So cute!

">
So I know I've posted a lot of videos but this one was just so cute!

Boom Goes the Dynamite!

">
I don't really know the whole story here. . . maybe the TelePrompTer was broken. Or maybe he was just the coffee guy and the real sportscaster just grabbed him and said "here kid, have fun" All I know is that it made me laugh. :)

A Tribute to Kids :)

ROBBED!!!!!!!

I have been robbed!!! I had this perfect layout in my mind of how I was going to post about my crazy busy life. I was so excited I had thought about the pictures, the post title, the wording, and even contemplated getting a new color scheme set up. I couldn't wait! I even started telling Meredith, my cousin (for my world wide blog fans who don't actually know much about me but can't resist my rich vocabulary and extensive literary skills jk.) anyways I started telling Meredith. . . (do you see where this is going?) about my plans, long story short check out her blog, she beat me to the punch <---- Link to Meredith's blog :) I must say she did a great job and I've decided to drop all charges because she did document her sources. I'll be sure to still let y'all know what I've been up to. I just need some time to lick my wounds ;) just kidding. I love you Teh!!

Busted!!

So I was taking a studying break at the library and decided to look up the new iPod nano. When I got to the Nano homepage I started watching this video, don't worry my headphones were in. Anyways, so after the video is over, the librarian taps me on the shoulder and says "Could you please turn your music down?" And I said "oh yeah, sorry, sure!" and at the same time thinking "Geez lady get a grip." So I turn down my computer and get back to work. I turn on my iPod and start the music. As I look at my iPod I think "hmm I don't remember plugging my headphones into the iPod, and then it hits me. I didn't plug my headphones into my iPod they were already plugged in!!!!!! And I had just blared this advertisement through the whole Samford library while thinking I was the only one that could hear it. I waited a respectable. . .oh I dunno 5 minutes before I practically ran out of the library in complete embarrassment. Now every time I walk in I do whatever I can to dodge that "uptight" librarian ;)

Mondays!!

Mondays are FOREVER long! I leave the house at 7:30 and stay at school all day. Then I go to FHE and Volleyball getting home for the first time around 9:30 pm. The picture above is me documenting my time at the library on none other than a monday.

Silly, I know :)

I know that this is an abnormal way to re-enter the blogging world but, you see, I have already used the apologetic post and updates. So from now on when I get behind in blogging (and I will) I have to come up with some clever way to make it up. Sooooo I'm BACK!! The whole point is for me to post often to avoid the humiliation pictured above, but anyone that knows me also know that I thrive on being. . . well weird :) I'll probably end up getting behind just so I can come up with fun ways to make it up to my ever so faithful blog followers. ;)

What would we do without them?

Cougar!!!

When I was in Utah this summer I got to spend a week with Missy's and in the time I spent with her, she bought I want to say 6 pairs of shoes? Anyways. . .a lot of shoes. . .hence the picture.

So this 1 picture really doesn't do justice to how much time Meredith and I spend together, I'm just waiting for our upcoming massive picture exchange!

So there were, oh I don't know. . . 120 more of these but I just thought I could give y'all a taste of what Becca and I do in our spare time together (besides singing).
A little late but yay for 2007 Jingle Bell Run and James of course.
Julie and I got to feed Gladys Knight's choir. I loved getting to spend some time with her it was a blast!!

What would we do without COUSINS?????!!!! Aren't they just the best ever?! I love cousins! If you are my cousin and there is not a picture of us posted. . . Call me! (205) 585-4154 or we can ichat or skype, I miss you :) I have loved all the time that I have been able to spend with cousins this past summer all the way from first cousins in Alabama to Second cousins one time removed from Idaho. When ever I drive across country a common question my mom hears is "Oh don't we have family from here?" or "Doesn't so and so live here?" I love being surrounded by family. Thankfully technology makes it possible to keep in touch when you can't be surrounded. So here's to cousins!!

There are no other words except: I LOVE IT!!!!

Jakey
Leah Kate
Kate-kate
Doe-Doe
Haley

Since I've been back home I gotten to spend so much time with my nieces and nephews and I have gotten to know them better, and I love it!! They are so sweet happy and loving! They are everything an aunt could ask for. My piano skills are somewhat less than average but none of that matters when all they care about is the fact that I can play the one song that, to quote Haley "all of Grandmother's children dance to" They love to love and love to be loved. This arrangement works very well for me because who couldn't love them? (and to get love in return is a definite plus) So I am working on getting more pictures of the loves of my life, but here is what I have so far. Taylor. . . I miss you, you should walk on over this way sometime soon. Take care of your parents for me.

For Erika :D

I was on the phone with Erika the other day and she mentioned that I hadn't posted in a VERY long time, and that because we live so far away she would like to know what is going on in my life. I ended the conversation with a noncommittal "okay, I'll do a post sometime in the near future-ish" while not satisfied, Erika accepted this attempt at a compromise. Because she is so committed to her blog I figure the least I can do is to dedicate a post to her and follow in her footsteps :) So Erika, here is to you for bringing me back to the world of blogger

Alright. . . . let's see who is still out there!!  I am determined to stay more updated in my posts. For starters, let's catch up! I am back in Alabama at Samford University awaiting the arrival of my acceptance (or rejection) from the Ida Moffit Nursing school at Samford. Since I have been home I have been able to be a part of so much! In March Julie called me and asked if I would be interested in helping serve lunch and dinner to Gladys Knight and her choir when they came for a fireside. . . yes I met Gladys Knight!!! While she didn't sing midnight train to Georgia, her choir was incredible, She and the choir are not allowed to take pictures so my proof of this interaction is poorly documented. I also got to go and see Wicked when it came to town and I am proud to say I loved just as much this time as the first time when I saw it four years ago. To top all of these fun things off, Elder L. Tom Perry came to town for a stake meeting and Mom and Aunt Anne, headed up a crew to feed him lunch, and I got to be a part of it. Well that is all for now but i'll be back with some pictures.

The Truth! ;D

So maybe my previous posts have been a little deceiving. My apartment is more often than not a total wreck, however, i am not to blame i am rarely there. I just felt a little guilty when looking at the early days of my blog, so i had to set it right. Yesterday I did three loads of dishes and with in four hours I had two more. But I love my apartment messy quirks and all.

Happy Halloween!

Thomas S. Monson
Joseph Smith Jr.
The Savior
These were in the Taylor Building, I thought they were amazing!!!
Amber and Me, we were both cowgirls.
(L to R) Me, Emily, and Susan

I had so much fun halloween night. I got to go to the Halloween Concert with Sara, Emily, and Megan! The theme was Pirates of the Caribbean and Pirates of Penzance. The Orchestra played songs from Pirates of the Caribbean and the Men's Choir sang excerpts from Pirates of Penzance. It was very impressive. After the concert we went back to 107 for games and candy. It was perfect.
